A great song written by Neil Diamond, some say it’s a song about a mans deep love for a woman, others see it as something more spiritual, with a more religious meaning coming through in his lyric. Who knows what was on his mind when he wrote the song or if there was ever anything meant to be taken from listening to the lyrics other than to accept it for the beautiful song that it is. This is my rendition, I hope you enjoy it -Kenny. Lyrics below: Pretty amazing grace is what You showed me Pretty amazing grace is who You are I was an empty vessel You filled me up inside And with amazing grace restored my pride Pretty amazing grace is how You saved me And with amazing grace reclaimed my heart Love in the midst of chaos Calm in the heat of war Showed with amazing grace what love was for You forgave my insensitivity And my attempt to then mislead You You stood beside a wretch like me Your pretty amazing grace was all I needed. Stumbled inside the doorway of Your chapel Humbled and awed by everything I found Beauty and love surround me Freed me from what I fear Ask for amazing grace and You appear You overcame my loss of hope and faith Gave me a truth I could believe in You led me to a higher place Showed Your amazing grace When grace was what I needed Look in a mirror I see Your reflection Open a book You live on every page I fall and You’re there to lift me Share every road I climb And with amazing grace You ease my mind Came to You with empty pockets first When I returned I …
Buy on Itunes: itunes.apple.com Produced by Joel Diamond for Silver Blue Productions This gorgeous ballad, written and produced by the same team as Engelbert’s “After The Lovin’” is given a very special treatment as only Al Martino can give it. Beautiful and very romantic lyric. Early on in his career, Al’s hit record of “Here in My Heart” spent three weeks at #1 on the US pop charts in June 1952, earning Martino a gold disc[6] and, later in the year, also reached the top of the UK charts. It was number one in the first UK Singles Chart, published by the New Musical Express on November 14, 1952, putting him into the Guinness Book of World Records.[7] “Here in My Heart” remained in the top position for nine weeks in the United Kingdom, a record for the longest consecutive run at #1 which has only since been beaten by five other songs. Apart from singing, Martino played the role of Johnny Fontane in the 1972 film The Godfather, as well as singing the film’s theme, “Speak Softly Love”. He played the same role in The Godfather Part III and The Godfather Trilogy: 1901–1980. He later returned to acting, playing aging crooner Sal Stevens in the short film Cutout, appearing in film festivals around the world in 2006. Martino died on October 13, 2009 at his childhood home in Springfield, Pennsylvania, six days after his 82nd birthday. “Sweet Baby James” is a song written and recorded by James Taylor which serves as the opening and title track from his 1970 breakthrough album Sweet Baby James. Although never released as a single, it is one of his best-known and most popular tunes, and arguably his signature song. History The song was written by Taylor for the son of his older brother Alex, who was also named James (and indeed was named after him). Deliberately a cross between a cowboy song and a lullaby, it was first thought up by Taylor as he was driving through Carolina to meet his infant nephew for the first time. Taylor spent considerable effort on the lyrics, whose verses he later said used the most intricate rhyming pattern of his career. :”Now the First of December was covered with snow :”And so was the Turnpike from Stockbridge to Boston :”Lord, the Berkshires seemed dream-like on account of that frostin’ :”With ten miles behind me and ten thousand more to go The song is composed as a waltz, in 3/4 time. The chorus echoes the lullaby sentiment, with a reference to “Rock-a-bye Baby”. “Sweet Baby James” was included on Taylor’s diamond-selling Greatest Hits 1976 compilation. Video Rating: 0 / 5

Neil Diamond Performs ‘Sweet Caroline’ at Fenway Park Video Rating: 5 / 5
READ THIS: Dennis Morgan began working with Neil when he ran the San Francisco office for MCA/Universal Music Group. Neil appeared regularly at the Circle Star Theatre in San Mateo. And they were the most sought after highly prized ‘ticket-comps’ Morgan had in his promotion arsenal for use with the radio and press crowd. Truth be told, he probably generated more airplay and press in the Bay Area for other–more needy Universal recording artists by leveraging Neil Diamond concert tix. From the 1960s to the 1980s, Neil was one the more successful rock music performers, scoring an extraordinary number of charted hits. Morgan recalls how distressed his mentors at Uni Records were (Russ Regan, Pat Pipilo, and Rick Frio) when Neil decided to leave the label and sign with Columbia Records/Sony Music. At the time, there may have been a turf battle underway in the corporate suite–especially after the late Artie Mogul and his A&R staff headed by Don Shane signed Andy Kim (Sugar, Sugar) who had reinvented himself in the image of Neil Diamond with the mid-chart hit single, ‘Rock Me Gently’. In the end, Columbia Records won simply by making an offer Neil couldn’t refuse. As critic William Ruhlmann once wrote: “Neil Diamond claims worldwide record sales of over 140 million copies, and he was ranked third, behind only Elton John and Barbara Streisand.” Neil’s songs have been recorded by a vast array of performers from all musical genres. He posted the ‘Sweet Caroline (Kennedy), Live at … Video Rating: 4 / 5
